FAQs

What is Psychotherapy and how can it help?

Psychotherapy is a talking therapy for anyone who might be struggling in a specific area of their life, be it in a relationship or professional life, or is feeling a general sense of dread and overwhelm but cannot quite put their finger on what it is or where it might be coming from. It is also for someone who wishes to break out of a place they feel stuck and into a new way of being in the world that they otherwise feel is beyond them.

Through the process of putting language on your experience, with a qualified psychotherapist, in a safe, non-judgmental relationship, you may begin to understand something of the impact of that experience on your day to day life and relationships.

How long does it take?

Psychotherapy is an in-depth process that can take a long time but some people choose to do shorter term work. It very much depends on the needs of each client and the presenting issues.

What is Group Therapy?

Similar to individual psychotherapy, group therapy is a talking therapy but carried out within a group that meets weekly for one and a half hours. It is conducted by a psychotherapist or group analyst and is designed to offer support and encouragement as people and the group undergo positive changes. Groups can offer members a space to put language on very difficult aspects of life in a supportive environment where you can be heard and held.

How much does it cost?

One to one psychotherapy and counselling sessions cost €90 for 50 minute appointments.

Assessment for Group sessions cost €90 per session of which there are normally 6-8

Group Therapy sessions cost €50 per group session
